A Mother first, Best Friend Always

For those of you that don't know, this is my mother! She is an awesome person, and I am extremely lucky that God blessed me with such an awesome Role Model in my life!!

I always here people say, A mother should be a mother and not a best friend, but in all honesty, I think that a Mother can be both!

Grant you I have seen the Indian War Dance come from her in my younger days, and we have had words, but I honestly consider her MY BEST FRIEND!!!

As quoting mom, I was always a Daughter but now a Best Friend.

Baby D

This is Corey and His wife Dana. They were fortunate to welcome Baby D into the world earlier this month. The bad thing is, Baby D was early, and Dana had a lot of complications! Just wanted to ask for prayer for them as they go through a long walk! The plus is, both are very strong in their Faith of the Lord!!!

They called me LiL Laura

Okay so let me start this post off, by "Wishing Ms. Laura a SPEEDY RECOVERY". I was just informed that you had surgery!!! I do hope things are going better for you!

Some of you may ask what the Title of this post means right??!?!?!?!?!?!

Well when i was a kid going up to see my father (when he worked for Revenue), I would pull up a chair between my father & Ms Laura and sit and talk with them. When Dad would call mom and tell her i was there, she would automatically want to talk to me, so i would get on the phone, prop my feet up on the stool that was up under the desk (if my mind remembers correctly i think it was orange) and everyone who would walk into the computer room would call me LiL Laura!!

I loved the T.I.T.L.E. it always made me smile...

So from LiL Laura to Ms. Laura. I wish you a speedy recovery!!!

Tuesday

Here is how the night went:

I went to see my Alice **for those of you that don't know** this is my dad's twin's youngest daughter.... Better known as my cousin.

Well she had back surgery a few months back, and I had not seen her since she went in for the Surgery!! I know, bad cousin right??? And she only lives about 30-40 mins from me!!! What on Earth!!!

Anywho, she looks better than i had seen her in years!!!!

I stayed about an hour and then headed back to prattville or Da'Ville as the kids are now calling it!

Then I went to Church to see if i could assist with Vacation Bible School. (I will post pictures tomorrow or so about it). But as soon as I walked through the door, I had several people start asking me why i was there!!

But i digress!!!

Then i went home.

and now I am about to go and do it all over again!!!

Adorable Nephew

This is my adorable nephew Tyler. I know you are in love right>!?!?!!? He now has a buzz cut just like his daddy!!! I am so very thankful for him & his mom. I truly don't know where I would be without the friendship of my Red!!!

First and foremost, please let me get out there,

UR i missed you!!!!

I do hope this post finds you all well... I know it has been a little bit since i have spoken to most of you.

Aunt Dean passed away yesterday, to some you all may not have known her, but she was a blessing to my Granny Boo, and for that I am sorry she is gone.

I have a question out there to the Blog community.

1. Have any of your ever studied 1John in Sunday School or Church?

***This has really been an eye opener for me***

FYI if you all have not heard, yes, i do have some pink in my hair!!!! aunt may you can stroke out when i see you!!!

I am looking forward to Saturday afternoon, my Sunday School Class is having a cookout!!! I will post pictures...

Okay, let me just be the first to say what the?!?!?!?!!?

As i was driving down the interstate this a.m. I see the car ahead of me, flying up from behind me, grant you in the middle lane was a Tanker, and in the far right lane were two 18 wheelers and the idiot decides i am assuming to play CHICKEN, and comes up flying down the highway on the shoulder past the 2 semi's. ***key word here the shoulder*** you know if God wanted a car to use the shoulder than don't you think He would have put it in the "Driving Manual"? I mean come on people!!!

So here's to the IDIOT that stopped traffic on the Interstate to a dead stop!!!! You get no RESPECT FROM ME!!!

What up world?!?!? It's June 1st here in Da'Ville. I am off from work today, time well needed & spent I can promise you this one!!!





Today is all the first day of Hurricane Season. Can we say Let's pray it will be as smooth as it has been for the past several years?!?!?!?!?!?!

1. My Parent's Anniversary came and pass.


2. I learned I like to cook.. (and we are not talking about PB & J either)!!!

5. My favorite Book of the Bible right now is ACTS.


6. I love having my mom as my best friend!!


7. I learned I honestly care and love my cousin Abbie with all of my heart!!! I had a ball playing with her the other night... So many new things she has learned just in the last time i saw her. She loves to sit up (you would have thought she come into this world sitting up).. She loves the frog/lady bug rattle.. and she has found her toes!!!

Honestly, can she be anymore adorable?!?!?!?!?!?

8. I am waiting on NEW MOON to come out


9. Roots, I hate Roots!!


10. I have the best Grandmother in the world. Seriously she will melt your heart as she puts her little hands together and says thank you!!!
