In the Eyes of a youngin'

Okay so as most of you know, i love kids, i love spending time with them, i love getting on the floor and playing cars, coloring, blocks with them. Kids are an amazing thing that God has placed on this earth.

You all know i have 4 special children in my life (none are over the age of 4). There's Jersee, Cade, Tyler & last but not least Emma Cate. You know and i try to spend as much time as i can with all 4 kids. Though i tend to see Jersee, Tyler & Emma Cate more than i do Cade, but still i love them all the same....

This should tell you the love i have for the kids, Sunday was Homecoming at the Church, awesome time, pretty good speaker, awesome Sunday school lesson (thorny bush or the devil) yeah goosebumps just thinking about it again., But anywho, they had a luncheon afterwards to Celebrate homecoming so that the members of the Church could fellowship together... It was set up very nicely KUDOS to that team!

So i took Bailey and Christina to Kmart to get some shoe polish so that they could shoe polish Ms. P's car they were going to use red water paint, and i didn't want it to mess up Ms. P's car or run, so i told them i would run after Church and go get them some shoe polish, but during the welcoming of the congregation, Bailey came running up to ask if she could go, I told she had to ask Mrs Faye, but that i didn't mind if she didn't? Well we went directly after Church, when we got back we went ahead and got Abby, and i watched them do the windows of her jeep, okay yeah i couldn't resist (i guess that's the youngin in me) so i ended up doing one window... ha!

But anyhow, i went back to the fellowship hall at the Church and found the table where red and uncle rob were sitting, there sat my two beautiful nieces and handsome nephew, I sat down behind tyler and say "hey boy" he turned around and said "keys", yeah i think he is the only kid that plays with my keys (i guess the yellow rabbit brandi gave me for Easter is fun to play with) so i gave him my keys and he went to town playing with them. Jersee wanted to go outside and play on the swing set at the back of the Church, but unfortunately there wasn't any adults out there, so Aunt Jan wouldn't let her go, I asked could she go out if i went out there, (you all know me i am a huge kid at heart myself, matter of fact i wanted to swing on the swing myself.....ha) so i went out with Jersee in tow, and i knew Tyler would follow suit, because he wanted to play with the BIG boys outside, it took him a few minutes and then he came on outside and wanted to swing, i pushed Jersee for a few minutes and then when a swing free'd up I put tybug on it, and told him to hold on so i could push him, the funny thing is, everytime the swing next to him free'd up he wanted to move down to the next one, i guess he wasn't happy until he had the chance to swing in all of them!!! Made me laugh for the day... Then he wanted to go down the slide, (you have to climb up a plastic rock climb and then you get to the swing) but the plastic was really hot that day so, i pulled the short cut off with Barry's help and just handed him up there to her, Ashley did a great job raising her and (Deb too) and then i would run around and catch them at the bottom of the swing! When all the big kids decided to get on the swing, i watched one of the kids get hit twice, so i decided it was enough time outside (i didn't want Jersee or Tyler to get hit by the swing or any of the big kids) so i brought them inside where Jersee wasn't to happy until it was explained that i didn't want them to get hurt. Emma Cate was knocked out in Red's lap, it was so cute i wish i had my camera (picture perfect) i am telling you! But yeah i love my nieces and nephews. I will put recent pictures up soon of them all i promise... Oh and the Church group is doing a Lake Day on this Saturday the 30th, so i will post a blog of all the fun we had and pictures too... I hope you all are having an awesome week so far!!!

Monday after the Britt weekend!!!!!!!!

Well, like i told you all before, the Britt's were in this past weekend, they left this a.m. heading back to the N.C. So we all went down to Aunt May's yesterday afternoon to do a grill out, and to chill out around the pool ~ i wasn't going in the day to go swimming, but i rolled up my jeans and took the Crocs off and stuck the feet in to get a little bit cooler, but as i am sitting there with camerick, Aunt Rema comes in and splashes the heck out of me while she is in the pool, (seeing how i wasn't in a swim suit, and was in blue jeans and a t-shirt) i went really quick to give mom my cellphone (you all know me, I have my cellphone on me at any point and time during the 24hrs in a day) i wasn't even going to in then, but I guess my mom knew more than i did, because she real quick told me to hand her my glasses too! So i did, and really quick just walked right into the pool, heading straight for the Rema to get her back for soaking me in my favorite jeans!!! So i spent about an hour in the pool playing with Camerick, Aunt Rema & Jimbo... (Though you know growing up, i am the one that always got picked on with the 4 boys in the Pratt pool)... Especially Mark Allen!!!! But Jimbo tried to play catch up last night... the nice thing about last night in the pool was (granny was outside sitting on the porch, watching us swim the whole time) You know those are moments that i will remember for the rest of my life! Now that i spent almost an hour in the pool in blue jeans, i about lost them... Yeah that would have been a sight now wouldn't it. So i had a change of pants in my car, but i just didn't have a shirt... i guess that's where my sweet poppie stepped in as my hero ~ he gave up his shirt so that i could get dry and warm... Thank you poppie & I love you! Also thanks to Aunt May, for the get together last night, it was fun and very relaxing, everyone seemed like they had a great time... I know i did.. The best time ever. Oh and Uncle Tom did an awesome job on the grill, but i know that you seasoned them aunt may!!! Well I am going to end this one for now until aunt may forwards me the picture and then i will post it up for you all.

JUST SOME THOUGHTS

I ONLY HAVE 16 DAYS AND WHATEVER IS LEFT FROM TODAY UNTIL I GO TO JAMAICA! I CAN'T WAIT. FIRST PLANE TRIP! I AM A TAD BIT NERVIOUS BUT I KNOW THAT AUNT MAY HAS MY BACK THROUGH IT.

B~ CAN YOU BELIEVE IT'S JUST THAT SHORT OF TIME BEFORE EVERYTHING FALLS INTO PLACE??? OH MY!!!

WE ARE EXCITED BECAUSE UNCLE JERRY COMES IN THIS THURSDAY TO SEE GRANNY BOOZER AND TO SPEND SOMETIME WITH THE FAMILY AND TRYING TO CATCH MOBY DICK!!!!

Congrats Yousaf

Well i just wanted to say congrats to my cousin Yousaf for graduating from High School. I am very proud of you... I wish you nothing but the best in the future that is ahead. Renee and Nick I know you all are very proud of him. I hope to see all of you soon...

It's Monday

Well what can i say it's Monday here in the 'Gump" and i am so looking forward to 5 o'clock, yeah i know i shouldn't wish my life away, but i still have a bit of my cold (hopefully & praying) that this will soon go away!!! Today started a new chapter for a friend of mine & a cousin of mine. Today Margot got the promotion that she needed to an ASA III and is now upstairs working.... Good luck to you kid... I wish you nothing but the best! Also, today my cousin Furfer (Jennifer D) started her new job as an ASA II with DOT, i know Friday when i talked to her she was a tad bit nervious, but you know the reminder that she is a Driggers' and should be afraid came up... You know, i think we as Humans tend to get caught up in everyday life and then we get into the comfortable stage where we don't want to progress or even want better for ourselves!!! But to the two of them, I am so very proud of you both, I love you all dearly and wish nothing but the best for both of you!!! And you know how to reach me if you need me.... My cell & email both still work!

Also it's about 19 days until i get on my first plane, and travel to Jamaica to watch my cousin tie the knot with an awesome person. Yeah, i always did like Michael from the get go. He was always and has always been super cool to me... ***You earned points there Wesson**** But on a serious note, i am super excited to be getting my first plane trip, and especially to be taking it with a cool aunt! **I love you Aunt May**

Ms. P's

I just wanted to thank Ms. P's for encouraging me to help out with V.B.S. and for helping me to realize that i could be a better role model for the younger kids on up into the youth, and that little ole me could set a better Christian example for them... Your awesome Ms. P. and God has truly blessed you in what you do...

Whether it be a reason, a season or a lifetime, and God only knows which, i have already learned so much from you.

Taylor P & His wife are going for baby # 3

Okay so i just found out that my cousin Taylor is going to be having his 3rd child....guess what?? it's a girl... They are going to name her Addison (I hope i am spelling that right)! I just wanted to say Congrats.... You all already have 2 beautiful sons and i know that she will have Taylor wrapped around her finger!!! I can't wait to see you all again... Keep me posted...

N.E.W.

Hey people... it's me again... thought i would try to bring you up to speed on the train of life.... Life is so grand right now... Other than loosing a family member and a friend this past week, (i know i have shed my tears and my fears and put everything in the Lords hands)... you know His hands are bigger than mine!!! Throughout that, i was able to help teach Vacation Bible School this past week... That's an awesome feeling on it's own! You know i remember going to V.B.S. as a child, and learning so much, and then coming home and asking my mom a lot of questions about God and then going back night after night wanting to learn more, and then I remember on the Wednesday of the week of V.B.S., Bro Steve Tucker singing after Bro Randy had prayed the prayer of the ABC's with us, that I knew God was talking to my heart, and that He wanted me to open up my heart to Him and let HIm in... Well on July 10th, I did just that, i was 10yrs old, and you know I know a lot of people that said your just a child you don't know any better, but I knew at that point i wanted eternal life, I wanted to be able to spend Eternal life with my friends and family when i got to Heaven, (because for those of you know, I have lost a lot of friends and family, in the short term that i have been on this earth)! But you know know the older i got, and the more my faith grew in the Lord, the more i realized that I didn't have to be sad, that i would see them again one day! It's just an awesome feeling to help a child learn more about God, (I now know why you do what you do Ms. P)!!!!! "Goosebumps".

Well i am going to Jamaica in 26days, to watch Brandi & Michael get married. This i am looking forward to doing. For one, they are so happy together, and He is good to her, and she deserves nothing but the best! Second, this will be my first plane trip!!! I am a little nervious, but lucky for me i am not having to take the plane all by myself.... I am flying with my aunt may and bubba, which i am looking forward to doing... "I know aunt may, i got to pick them up and put them down".... ha! I do hope that we have a great and safe time... And that God will bless Brandi & Michael with a wonderful marriage!!!! Third, last night i got to meet Michael's parents, Billy & Regina, and Michael's sister Jennifer & her husband Justin, oh and mama and pawpaw, all cool people... "Though i really thought the cow was going to eat me"!!! You know you would think with me spending a lot of time down in New Brockton with Dad's folks that i would be use to the cow thing, but nah!!! Jennifer is cool, i love her hair color, oh and i really loved her sandals she had on last night!!! Mrs. Regina, is very nice, she seems really down to earth.... super cool person!!! She has a beautiful home!!! Mr. Billy was really nice, he seems really down to earth too, He sure does know how to cook a steak ~ yeah i had a bite of B's... and i don't eat Steak, so that's a huge compliment Mr. Billy!!! Of course if you didn't know Michael is a huge Cubs fan, so they watched the game last night (Cubs vs Braves).. Even Michael's grandmother loves baseball, it was fun to watch her watch it and get into the game!!!!! OH AND EXCELLENT TEA, sorry i am a southern girl, and the best way to my heart, is with a WONDERFUL glass of tea, and a piece of Peanut Butter Pie, ooh are a Breakfast pizza!!!! Brandi is lucky she is getting excellent IN-LAWS!!! Maybe i will get that lucky when it's my turn!!!! Alright people, i am ending this post for now... Because i am give out... But i had to post the excitement, the sorrow, and cow story... Hope you all enjoy..

Jenni & Britt ~ Mark & Timmery

Well i hosted a wonderful bridal shower for a few friends of mine. Mark & Timmery are the couple on the right (she's the short-haired one) they are getting married on June 30th. and then Jenni & Britt are the couple on the left hand side (she has the longer hair) they are getting married in August i think, (sorry i can tell you where, I just can't tell you the exact date just yet)! I am slipping in my ole age!!! Sorry i had to take a quote from Ms. P!!!! You know it's nothing but love Ms. P.

I am so super glad i was able to throw the shower for both couples. I wish nothing but the best for all of you and may God bless both marriages!!!!
